Who We Are

The Iris Review is a collaborative student-run publication at Tennessee Tech. We publish original works of writing and art by authors at all levels of the craft and are excited about discovering new voices in our Upper Cumberland community. We seek works that showcase human creativity, profound emotion, and the expression of personal perspectives.

Our History

Homespun: simple and unsophisticated.

The beginnings of all stories are homespun, and more so for the Iris Review. Tennessee Tech's pioneer literary magazine launched in 1950 under the title Homespun and ran until 2005.

The 2018 revival of our literary magazine gives homage to these roots by retaining its last four digital copies. However, it now reaches beyond campus to all of Cookeville and seeks more art, photography, and graphic novel scenes.

Now, we bloom.
