A Bookfair. But for Adults.

Remember elementary school when Scholastic bookfair would come to your school’s library with books and journals and posters and pens? Getting so excited the week before, circling all the things you wanted in a little magazine they sent home the week before? You’d count out your change at the register trying to see just how many things you could take home?

We get to remember that nostalgia and do it again as adults! At a winery!

Plenty Downtown Bookshop is partnering with DelMonaco Winery to host their first Adult Bookfair the weekend on March 7-9.

The event will begin at 5pm on Friday, March 7 with a panel featuring Tech alum, Brian Radford discussing the process of self-publishing. Following this panel, Dr. Monic Ductan will talk about her book, Daughters of Muscadine, and then lead a writing workshop. The evening will end with a conversation with Andrew Maraniss.

Saturday will be a day FULL of author discussions, with panels throughout the day including 14 authors as well as an illustration demonstration with the talented Jessica Roux.

There will also be a wide selection of books to purchase, as well as throwback goodies from childhood bookfair days and Plenty of wine merchandise and accessories!

DelMonaco will have samples available, wine to purchase by the bottle or glass, and a full menu of delicious food.

Wine and Words is sure to be a weekend any literary lover and writer will love!
