Meet The Team

 She is in her last semester as a graduate student here in the English Department with a focus on Literature. She's a mom of four boys and 5 pets. When not at school, she is probably reading or watching baseball!

Damien Gentry is a senior at Tennessee Tech.  This is his second semester editing for The Iris Review.  His favorite pastime is reading, but he never objects to a good board game or a round of badminton.  

​Josiah Sparks is a junior at Tennessee Tech University. He reads and writes in his free time and is also a published author. 

Kaylee Savage-Cutcher is a second-year creative writing and visual arts student. They primarily write weird fantasy and love dragons and cats a little too much.

Marissa Phillips is a freshman working towards an English degree. She loves reading and writing fantasy stories, and she hopes to one day publish a novel of her own.

This is Jacob Hancock and he is on the design team for the Iris Review. He is from Jackson, TN and I am an English Major here at Tech. Thanks for your time in reading!!  He likes fighting games. (He'd love to play anyone in SF6).

Riley Tanner is a junior at TN Tech. She is majoring in Secondary Ed. English, and her love for creativity is evident throughout her writing. She is part of the design team as an editor of the Iris Review.

Katie Nelson is a junior at Tennessee Tech University, where she majors in English with a focus on creative writing. She discovered her passion for writing through poetry and strives to craft works with universal understanding and interest. Katie’s collection of poems, Constellations of Life, was published by the Origami Poems Project. She now continues to grow both academically and creatively.

Luz is a third year Interdisciplinary Studies student at Tennessee Tech. They take part in Tech's Creative Writing Club and plan to make a visual novel for their capstone project. They enjoy practicing guitar in slow mornings and drawing in the evenings.

​Hailey Winningham is currently a sophomore at Tennesse Tech studying Secondary Education while also pursuing a certificate in editing and publishing. She loves reading and writing all genres from urban fantasy to dystopian and hopes to teach her future students how they can use their words to change the world.

She's a journalism major and second semester senior. She works as a radio producer and announcer. When she's not working or at school she catches up on the latest anime and reads or goes hiking!
